starting 11 guide
this is your guide to building your starting 11, your core group of people that will help you launch your first experience. below are the different types of roles you need on your team:
head captain
leader of the business at that facility. the link between sphere and facility. manages cap, standard on/off the field and membership roster. knows most about sphere and our standard of play. holds others accountable. cares about the locker room (community), connection and atmosphere
captains (4)
a captain is someone that can help assist and lead classes. a soccer player who can create soccer content and attract other soccer players. important to have players who can #keeptheballrolling when head captain can’t run practice.
videographer/photographer
one person preferably. creates on brand/approved videos from the kickoff event to sell the concept at a facility. goal is to keep creating content as we go for all platforms and use
playmaker or creator
a creative player who likes creating content for social media or other platforms. a player that has unique skills or artistic that stands out from others
community manager
this person is responsible for running our 3 community events (nshh, 17th event and soleful sunday) each month. they are responsible for organizing and facilitating these experiences.
ex professional
it’s always cool to be able to play with a former professional soccer player. adds a fun dynamic to the mix and helps share that all players are welcome.
striker
player with a good social presence but no ego. shares a testimonial and feed post that is organic. constantly attacking by bringing people and posting about sphere
teammates (2)
who is going to help you move or pick you up drunk on the side of the road at 2 am. these teammates are going to show up for you and help build the base. we need players at the start to show up and be consist while also sharing about the concept to help recruit.
cheerleaders (2)
ladies that will support the play by being present at practices and events. posting on social media and recruiting new teammates. always helpful to have females in the lineup to lower the competitive edge and balance the egos to create more of a connecting forward environment
hype man
a player who hypes up other players and locker room. basketball locker room guy, chijioke or west side mike or rj. energy! energy! energy!
